Bringing children to a lively faith in Jesus Christ
Waiau Kidz Club is an interdenominational Christian program that runs on
Friday afternoons(3-5 pm) after school during the school term at the Waiau Playcentre.
At Kidz Club we teach children about Christianity through :
  Storytelling,
  Bible stories and real life stories
Crafts
related to the story or general
subject of the term,
We have afternoon tea together
with special themed banquets
at least once each term
We play fun games
which help children
to learn
principles of
sharing,
cooperation,
team work
and
belonging
We do drama
short plays
puppet plays
role plays
We sing Hymns, Christmas Carols
and fun children's Christian songs.
We perform every term in a special church service.
We worship God through singing each week in the local church.

   AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
of Waiau Kidz Club
    1. To introduce children to Jesus, their personal saviour
    2. To learn songs and scripture that are age appropriate
    3. To have fun through drama and craft
    4. To develop a presentation for parents at the end of each term
    5. To build relationships with children that are positive and safe
    6. To create an environment of trust and openness
    7. To role model Christian life principles to children
    8. To reach the parents of children through regular performances and homework offered to children
    9. To establish KIDZ Club in Waiau as a great place to send your children for a grounding in Christianity.

   LEADER QUALIFICATIONS

    o. Meet children at school at 3pm and walk to Church Hall
    o. Serve afternoon tea to children and play a game or talk around the table
    o. Play a game if time allows
    o. Scripture in Song in the church + prayer time
    o. Library time (including DVD's, CD's, Books, Bibles, Games)
    o. Home time, parents to meet their children at the end of the session

   PROGRAM

    1. Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ died for our sins and provides salvation through grace
    to all who believe in his name and accept him.
    2. Anyone who believes that the bible is the inspired word of GOD and believes it to be
    relevant and true.
    3. Anyone who is an active member of a Christian Church and is willing to work ecumenically.
    4. Anyone with a clear police record and Christ's love for children.
   Guidance group:
    KIDZ Club has a guidance group that has been established to help support
   the leaders in their roles and run the financial side. Guidance group meetings are held once at
   the start of every term.
